That&#8217;s a super nice fabric, very pleasant to sew, with a nice draping effect and that is quite resistante to get crease. Which is very valuable for sewing a skirt&nbsp;!<\/p>\n<p>Why did I choose this fabric ? The nice floral pattern of course. With her lovely shape that&#8217;s a very confortable skirt. I wear it high waisted and it fits perfectly thanks to the elastic at the back of the skirt.<\/p><p>The pattern is beginner friendly (this is the 3rd skirt I am sewing) and I had no problem making it. This skirt is nicely crafted with multiple ruffles (which also means a bit of cutting work before you begin).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-36d593b elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"36d593b\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-ea0227e\" data-id=\"ea0227e\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-046b5e0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"046b5e0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The instruction booklet is clear, with diagrams for each step, and if you get lost, there&#8217;s also a step-by-step video that shows you how to do it right!<\/p><p>As I recently invested in a serger, I had the pleasure of using it for this skirt. But if you choose to line the skirt (like me), the majority of the seams are hidden in the lining or in the waistband. It is therefore not necessary to have a serger to sew this pattern.<\/p><p>It is a short skirt that delicately emphasizes the waist. I really appreciate the flat waistband at the front which I find more aesthetic than a pleated waistband with an elastic band.<\/p><p>This skirt has a nicely worked flared cut, which allows it to take a little volume. And of course, I like a lot the wrap-around design. That&#8217;s a very romantic design.<\/p><p>No big difficulty in sewing this pattern. However, you will get a very well cut short skirt, with an original shape and pretty details.<\/p><p>Moreover, as this skirt is lined, you can choose a more autumnal fabric to make a version to wear in September with small boots.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-acb288f elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"acb288f\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-931d5bd\" data-id=\"931d5bd\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a637e1d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a637e1d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>This outfit<\/h4><p>for this spring outfit, I&#8217;m searing my knitter sweater: <a href=\"https:\/\/macimille.com\/en\/product\/orion-lights-sweater\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Orion Lights Sweater<\/a> (lthe pattern is available in French &amp; English). The color matches perfectly with the viscose print. It is a fine, light sweater with a fitted cut. It is perfect to slip into a skirt. I have made it with a 50% merinos &amp; 50% tencel yarn from Yarn By Simone. Tencel is a fiber obtained from wood pulp. It is a breathable and lighter material than merino. Therefore, my Orion Lights sweater is perfectly suited for spring.<\/p><p>For the shoes, they are golden pumps from <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.pieddebiche-paris.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pied de Biches<\/a> (old collection). This time, that&#8217;s Lise Tailor viscose I had the pleasure to sew. Even before starting sewing, I have always been attracted by Lise Tailor fabric, by their exclusives and blooming printed fabrics. This time, on top of looking at them, I had the pleasure to sew one of them from the spring 2022 collection&nbsp;:&nbsp;the viscose &#8220;Esquisse&#8221;. That&#8217;s a super nice fabric, very pleasant to sew, with a nice draping effect and that is quite resistante to get crease. Which is very valuable for sewing a skirt&nbsp;! Why did I choose this fabric ? The nice floral pattern of course. Looking at it, you immediately feel the spring spirit&nbsp;! I doubled this viscose which is on a white background so a little transparent. The Bliss skirt from Lise Tailor While discovering Lise Tailor&#8217;s spring 2022 collection, I also chose one of her new pattern: the Bliss skirt. It&#8217;s a short wrap-around skirt but without the risk of opening unexpectedly as the wrap-around side is provided by a frill which is added to the skirt. I sew this skirt in the size 34. With her lovely shape that&#8217;s a very confortable skirt. I wear it high waisted and it fits perfectly thanks to the elastic at the back of the skirt. The pattern is beginner friendly (this is the 3rd skirt I am sewing) and I had no problem making it. This skirt is nicely crafted with multiple ruffles (which also means a bit of cutting work before you begin). The instruction booklet is clear, with diagrams for each step, and if you get lost, there&#8217;s also a step-by-step video that shows you how to do it right! As I recently invested in a serger, I had the pleasure of using it for this skirt. But if you choose to line the skirt (like me), the majority of the seams are hidden in the lining or in the waistband. It is therefore not necessary to have a serger to sew this pattern. It is a short skirt that delicately emphasizes the waist. I really appreciate the flat waistband at the front which I find more aesthetic than a pleated waistband with an elastic band. This skirt has a nicely worked flared cut, which allows it to take a little volume. And of course, I like a lot the wrap-around design. That&#8217;s a very romantic design. No big difficulty in sewing this pattern. However, you will get a very well cut short skirt, with an original shape and pretty details. Moreover, as this skirt is lined, you can choose a more autumnal fabric to make a version to wear in September with small boots. This outfit for this spring outfit, I&#8217;m searing my knitter sweater: Orion Lights Sweater (lthe pattern is available in French &amp; English). The color matches perfectly with the viscose print. It is a fine, light sweater with a fitted cut. It is perfect to slip into a skirt. I have made it with a 50% merinos &amp; 50% tencel yarn from Yarn By Simone. Tencel is a fiber obtained from wood pulp. It is a breathable and lighter material than merino. Therefore, my Orion Lights sweater is perfectly suited for spring. For the shoes, they are golden pumps from Pied de Biches (old collection). They were the second pair I had chosen for my wedding with a medium heel so I could dance the night away.
