Who is Macimille ?

Since I was a child, I have always been surrounded by hand craft items: drawing, painting, pearl necklace making… With my mother or my grandmothers who were knitting, sewing a new “disguise” or painting. I paused every handcraft projetcs during my studies. One day, the desire to create came back and it allowed me to focus, empty my mind and meditate. I have never knitted before and I didn’t know exactly why I suddenly wanted to learn. Needles & yarn ball in hand, that’s how this love story started…

I rapidly created an Instagram account to share my creation: my first sweater, my first headband, my first beanie,… I have discovered an inspiring & kind community but also modern, feminine & dainty knitwear’s that gave me the motivation the learn and try new techniques.

After few month, a new idea came: create my own sweater, I was dreaming of lace stitch, a collection of small buttom in the back… That’s how the shell we cardigan born, my first knitting pattern. I was thrilled by the engagement generated by this pattern, and it allowed me to dream and create again. Since then, I’m working to create knitwear pattern inspired from my day to day life.
